LIVING TEMPLE — TERMS OF SERVICE & CLIENT AGREEMENT

Effective Date: 8.20.2026 Last Updated: 8.20.2026

A WORD BEFORE THE TERMS

Living Temple is a sanctuary. Sanctuaries have thresholds, and thresholds have agreements — the things we each hold so the space between us stays clear enough for real work to happen.

What follows is that agreement, written plainly on purpose. It tells you what this work is, what it isn't, what you can expect from me, and what I need from you. Read it before we begin. If anything here raises a question, ask me. Clarity at the door is part of the care.

1. WHO YOU ARE CONTRACTING WITH

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all services provided by Living Temple, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Living Temple," "we," "us," "I," or "me"), and all use of the website at iamlivingtemple.com.

Business entity: Living Temple, LLC Practitioner: Julie Anne Combest, known professionally as Jules — Licensed Massage Therapist (Colorado License #MT.0025411), Myofascial Release Therapist (John F. Barnes method), Spiritual-Somatic Coach Business location: 3285 Krameria Street, Denver, CO 80207 Phone: (720) 325-0241 Contact: iamlivingtemple@gmail.com

2. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

You accept these Terms when you do any of the following: book a session, class, intensive, or retreat; purchase a package or program; sign an intake form referencing these Terms; or use this website.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not book services. If a separate signed agreement exists for a specific program or retreat, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.

4. SCOPE OF PRACTICE — WHAT THIS WORK IS AND ISN'T

This section matters more than any other. Please read it carefully.

4.1 Bodywork

Myofascial Release and massage therapy are provided under my Colorado massage therapy license. Bodywork is complementary care. It is not medical treatment, physical therapy, chiropractic care, or a diagnostic service. I do not diagnose illness or injury, prescribe medication, adjust or manipulate the spine or joints, or treat disease.

Nothing I say during a session should be understood as a medical opinion. If you have a condition that concerns you, see a physician.

4.2 Coaching

Somatic and spiritual coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment, and I am not acting as a licensed psychotherapist when I provide it. Coaching is not a substitute for care from a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed therapist, or other licensed professional. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

Coaching draws on somatic practices, spiritual frameworks, breathwork, energy work, tarot and oracle, inner-child and regression work, and manifestation and mindset practices. These are approaches I have trained in and practice with care, and they are not clinical treatment for any diagnosed condition.

4.3 Concurrent Care and Emergencies

This work sits alongside your other care. It does not replace it. If you are working with a therapist, physician, or psychiatrist, I encourage you to continue, and I am glad to coordinate with your written permission.

If you are in crisis, do not wait for a session. Call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). I am not an emergency or crisis service and do not provide on-call or after-hours support.

4.4 No Guaranteed Outcomes

I bring my full skill, presence, and training to every session. I cannot and do not guarantee any specific result — physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, or financial. Healing moves at its own pace and is shaped by your participation, your history, and factors neither of us controls. Any testimonials or examples shared reflect individual experiences and are not promises of your outcome.

5. ELIGIBILITY

You must be 18 or older to book services independently.

Clients under 18 may be seen only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, and that parent or legal guardian must remain physically present in the room for the entire session. There are no exceptions. The consenting adult is responsible for payment and is bound by these Terms alongside the minor client.

6. INFORMED CONSENT FOR HANDS-ON WORK

For bodywork and any session involving touch:

Your consent is required and ongoing. Before hands-on work begins, we will discuss what areas we are working with and why. You may modify, pause, or withdraw consent at any moment, for any reason, without explanation and without penalty. "Stop," "not there," or "I need a break" ends or redirects the work immediately.

Draping and clothing. You will be professionally draped at all times during massage and myofascial work. You choose your level of undress within what the work requires; many myofascial sessions are done in loose clothing or undergarments. Breast tissue, gluteal tissue, and other sensitive areas are worked on only with your specific, separate verbal consent, and never when you have not affirmatively agreed.

Pressure. Myofascial release is slow and sustained and can be intense at times. Tell me what you feel. Pressure is adjusted to what your body can receive.

Emotional responses. Myofascial and deep bodywork sometimes brings up strong emotion, memory, or physical sensation. This is common and not a problem. You are always free to pause, sit up, ask for something different, or end the session.

Absolute boundary. There is no sexual component to any service I offer, ever. Sexual advances, solicitation, comments, or exposure end the session immediately, terminate our working relationship permanently, forfeit any fees paid for that session, and may be reported to law enforcement and to the Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations.

7. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

  • Provide complete and truthful health, medical, and personal history during intake, including medications, injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, infectious conditions, and mental health history relevant to the work

  • Update me when your health, medications, or circumstances change

  • Tell me during a session what you are experiencing, especially pain or discomfort

  • Follow aftercare guidance and honor your own limits between sessions

  • Arrive free of intoxicants; I may decline to work with anyone who appears impaired

  • Reschedule if you have a fever, contagious illness, or open skin condition

You are responsible for your own choices, actions, and decisions during and after our work together. This work supports your sovereignty; it does not transfer responsibility for your life to me.

8. SCHEDULING, CANCELLATION, AND NO-SHOWS

Cancellation window. Cancellations and reschedules require at least 24 hours' notice.

Late cancellation. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session are charged 50% of the session fee.

No-shows. If you do not notify me before your appointment time and do not arrive, you are charged 100% of the session fee.

Packages, programs, and prepaid members. If you have prepaid — through a package, a coaching container, or a monthly membership — a late cancellation or no-show uses that prepaid session. For monthly members, that month's included session is forfeited and is not carried forward or made up in a later month.

Lateness. Sessions begin and end at their scheduled times. If you arrive late, we work with the time remaining and the full fee applies. If I am running late, you receive your full session time or a prorated credit.

Emergencies. I hold discretion to waive late-cancellation fees for genuine emergencies, illness, and the unpredictable weight of being alive. Repeated late cancellations may end our working relationship or require prepayment.

Cancellations by me. If I must cancel, you may reschedule at no cost or receive a full refund for that session.

9. PAYMENT

When payment is due. Single sessions are due at or before the time of service. Packages and coaching containers are paid in full before the first session, or on the agreed payment plan.

Accepted methods. Payments are processed by Stripe, subject to Stripe's own terms of service and privacy policy.

Payment plans. Where offered, payment plans are commitments to the full program price, and are not a per-session arrangement. All installments are owed regardless of whether you complete the program. Missed installments may pause services until your account is current.

Late and failed payments. A missed installment or failed payment that remains unresolved for 14 days incurs a $50 late fee added to that installment.

Package expiration. Every package and container carries its own expiration date, set according to the number of sessions it includes. That date is stated in your contract at the time of purchase. Sessions not used by the date listed in your contract expire and are not refunded, extended, or transferred unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Sliding scale. Sliding-scale spots are offered in good faith to expand access. Sliding-scale rates are subject to the same cancellation, payment, and refund terms as full-rate services.

Chargebacks. If you have a concern about a charge, contact me first — I will always talk with you. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting me is a breach of this agreement, and I reserve the right to recover the disputed amount, associated fees, and collection costs, and to end our working relationship.

Price changes. Prices change from time to time. Changes never apply retroactively to a package or container you have already purchased.

9.1 Memberships

Living Temple offers three monthly bodywork memberships:

Tier                                 Monthly rate                   Included each month

Page of Cups                       $137                         One 60-minute session

Queen of Pentacles             $197                        One 90-minute session

Queen of Wands                 $257                         One 2-hour myofascial release session

By purchasing a membership, you agree to the following:

Six-month commitment. A membership is a six-month commitment, after which it continues indefinitely until you cancel.

Automatic monthly billing. Your monthly rate is charged automatically to your payment method through Stripe on the same day each month, and continues until you cancel. You are giving express informed consent to this recurring charge.

How to cancel. You may cancel at any time through your online account, in a single step, without needing to contact me first. You may also cancel by emailing iamlivingtemple@gmail.com if you prefer. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month; the month you have already paid for remains available to you, subject to the 60-day use window below.

Renewal reminders. You will receive periodic written notice that your membership continues to renew unless you cancel, along with instructions for cancelling. [CONFIRM your booking system sends these automatically; if it does not, this needs to be handled manually.]

Early cancellation fee. If you cancel before completing six months, a $150 fee is charged to cover the membership discounts you have already received.

Discount on additional sessions. Members receive 20% off additional sessions beyond the included monthly session. This discount cannot be applied to sliding-scale appointments and cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.

Late cancellation and no-shows. If you give less than 24 hours' notice that you cannot make your monthly appointment, or you do not show, you forfeit that month's included session. It is not carried forward or made up later.

60-day use window. Your included session must be used within 60 days of the date the payment is withdrawn from your account. Sessions not used within that window are forfeited. If something is going on in your life that makes this hard, talk to me in advance — I hold discretion to extend the window in special circumstances discussed ahead of time.

Refunds. Memberships and monthly payments are non-refundable.

Price changes. If I raise the price of your membership tier, I will give you advance written notice and either obtain your agreement to the new price before charging it or give you the opportunity to cancel for a prorated refund.

10. REFUNDS

Single bodywork or coaching sessions. Completed sessions are non-refundable. My fee is for the time, presence, preparation, and skill I bring to the container, not for a guaranteed outcome. If something in a session went genuinely wrong on my end, tell me — I will make it right at my discretion, which may include a credit or a refund.

Unused sessions in a package or container. Packages and multi-session containers are non-refundable once the first session has occurred, because the container is designed and priced as an arc rather than as separate sessions. If you need to stop partway for reasons outside your control, contact me: at my sole discretion I may issue a credit for unused sessions toward future services, valid for 12 months. Refunds requested before the first session are made in full, less a $50 administrative fee. Packages must also be used according to any restrictions stated in the package description.

Coaching containers. Because Foundations and The Full Journey are priced and structured as complete arcs, and because a place in my calendar is held for you across months, these are non-refundable once begun. Your remaining installments stay due. If circumstances make continuing impossible, contact me and we will find a way through — pausing, extending the timeline, or transferring the balance to another offering are all possible, at my discretion.

Embodied Sanctuary VIP Days and intensives. A deposit of 30% of the total fee is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due 5 days before your scheduled day. Cancellation terms:

When you cancel                            What happens

14 or more days before                    Full refund of the deposit and any balance paid

7–13 days before                             Deposit refunded less a $150 administrative fee; balance paid is refunded in full. The $150 fee is                                                            waived if you reschedule within 30 days of your original date

0–6 days before                               No refund

True emergency. In a genuine emergency — serious illness, death in the family, or comparable circumstance — you may reschedule within 90 days of your original date and your full deposit is applied to the rescheduled day. What qualifies is determined at my sole discretion, exercised in good faith.

Retreats. See Section 11.

Classes and workshops. Refundable up to [X] days before the class begins. After that, non-refundable, though your spot may be transferred to another person. Donation-based community offerings are non-refundable.

Memberships. Non-refundable. See Section 9.1 for cancellation terms and the early-cancellation fee.

Gift certificates. Non-refundable. Gift certificates expire 5 years from the date of purchase and are transferable to another person.

Digital products and recordings. Non-refundable once accessed or downloaded, given their nature.

If I cancel. If I cancel a session, class, or program and cannot reschedule it to a time that works for you, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for what was cancelled.

How to request. Send refund requests to iamlivingtemple@gmail.com with your name, what you purchased, and what happened. I respond within 3 business days.

11. MULTI-DAY EVENTS AND RETREATS

The figures below follow common practice in the retreat industry and are a starting draft. Before publishing, check them against your actual venue and vendor contracts — your refund ladder should never be more generous than the point at which your own money becomes unrecoverable.

Deposits. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 30% of the retreat fee holds your place. It covers commitments I make to venues and vendors on your behalf.

Balance and cancellation. Balances are due [60] days before the retreat begins.

When you cancel                                   What you receive

90+ days before                                      Refund of all amounts paid beyond the deposit

60–89 days before                                  Refund of 50% of the total retreat fee

15–59 days before                                  Refund of 25% of the total retreat fee, or a credit toward a future retreat, at your choice

Fewer than [30] days before                   No refund, a credit for a future retreat or other services equal to 50% of the balance you paid.

This holds regardless of the reason for cancellation, including illness and emergency. This is why travel insurance matters.

Transferring your place. Up to [30] days before the retreat, you may transfer your place to another person, subject to my approval of their fit for the container and their completion of intake. A [$100] transfer fee applies.

Travel insurance. I strongly recommend trip cancellation and travel medical insurance for every retreat. Please purchase it.

Travel and personal costs. Unless stated otherwise, the retreat fee does not include airfare, ground transportation, travel insurance, or personal expenses.

Cancellation by Living Temple. If I cancel a retreat, you receive a full refund of all retreat fees paid to me, including the deposit. I am not responsible for your airfare, non-refundable travel bookings, or other third-party costs.

Force majeure. If a retreat cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond reasonable control — natural disaster, epidemic, government action, venue failure, wildfire, war, or similar — I will offer a credit toward a future retreat or a refund of recoverable costs. Non-recoverable costs already paid to venues and vendors may not be refundable.

Conduct. Retreats are shared containers. Participants who behave in ways that endanger or repeatedly disrupt the group may be asked to leave at their own expense and without refund.

Health disclosure. You must disclose relevant health conditions before a retreat. I may decline participation where I cannot responsibly support your safety in that setting.

12. GROUP CONTAINERS AND CONFIDENTIALITY

In classes, retreats, and group programs:

  • What is shared in the container stays in the container. You agree not to repeat, publish, or attribute what other participants share. This is a condition of participation.

  • Recording. You may not record any session, class, or retreat — audio, video, or screenshot — without my express written permission. I may record group calls for participant use; if I do, I will say so, and participants may keep their cameras off.

  • I cannot guarantee the confidentiality of what you share in a group. Share what is right for you to share.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All curriculum, frameworks, recordings, workbooks, handouts, meditations, written materials, and methods — including the Embodied Liberation framework and all Living Temple teaching materials — are my intellectual property or used with license.

When you purchase a program, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the materials for your own healing and practice. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, teach from, or adapt them, or share access credentials, without my written permission.

Practitioners: if you want to bring elements of this work into your own practice, ask me. I am generally glad to talk about it. Taking it without asking is a different matter.

14. COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SESSIONS

I respond to email and messages within 3 business days. My working hours for correspondence are 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and messages sent outside those hours will be answered during them. Between-session support (voice notes, check-ins) included in a coaching container is described in that container's terms and is not unlimited or on-demand.

I am not available for crisis support. See Section 4.3.

Email and text are not fully secure. By communicating with me through them, you accept that risk. Please do not send detailed health information by text.

15. MY RIGHT TO DECLINE OR END SERVICES

I may decline, pause, or end services at any time, including when:

  • The work falls outside my scope of practice or training

  • Your needs would be better served by another provider, and I will offer referrals where I can

  • Boundaries are crossed, including the boundary in Section 6

  • Behavior is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, or repeatedly disruptive

  • Payment obligations go unmet

  • Continuing would not be responsible or safe

If I end services for reasons unrelated to your conduct, I refund amounts paid for services not yet received. If I end services because of conduct, no refund is owed.

You may end our working relationship at any time. Section 10 governs what happens to money already paid.

16. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

You understand that bodywork, breathwork, movement, somatic practice, and emotionally intensive work carry inherent risks, including temporary soreness, bruising, fatigue, lightheadedness, emotional activation, the surfacing of difficult memory or feeling, and rare aggravation of existing conditions. Breathwork in particular can produce dizziness, tingling, muscle contraction, and strong emotional release, and is not appropriate for everyone.

You participate voluntarily and assume these risks. You confirm that you have disclosed everything relevant to your health and that you will stop or ask to stop when you need to.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Colorado law, Living Temple's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or any service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Living Temple is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost income, emotional distress, or loss of opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited under Colorado law.

18. TESTIMONIALS, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND MEDIA

I will never share your name, image, story, or words publicly without your separate written permission. Where I use a testimonial you have given, I use it as approved.

At retreats and events, photography and video may be taken for Living Temple's use. You will be asked in advance and may opt out.

19. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Talk to me first. If something is wrong, tell me directly and give me thirty days to make it right. Most things are resolved this way, and I would rather be in conversation with you than in a process.

Mediation. If direct conversation does not resolve it, we agree to attempt mediation in Denver, Colorado, with a mutually chosen mediator, sharing costs equally, before either of us files suit.

Governing law and venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any legal action shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado.

20. GENERAL

Changes. I may update these Terms. The current version is posted at [WEBSITE URL]/terms with its effective date. Material changes affecting active clients will be sent to you by email. Changes do not apply retroactively to programs already purchased.

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, any signed intake and consent forms, and any program-specific agreement, are the entire agreement between us.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under this agreement without my written consent.

Survival. Sections 13, 16, 17, and 19 survive the end of our working relationship.
